We're Sally and Gary, the couple behind Westie's Retreat - a cosy two-bedroom coastal escape in beautiful Esperance, Western Australia.

We met here in Esperance a decade ago, brought together by a shared love of photography - and honestly, with beaches like these, it can be hard to put the camera down.

The dog-friendly policy was April's idea - she was our girl when Westie's first opened its doors. Harper holds the title now, and the rule stands: we know how much it means to travel with your dog, and we wanted every guest to feel that's not just allowed here, but welcomed.

We're not a big hospitality business, just two people with day jobs who love what we've created. We manage Westie's ourselves, which means you'll always be dealing with us directly.

Westie's has become one of our favourite things we've built together, and we hope it feels that way to you too.
